About Design history
- The Design History feature allows your customers to save their created designs and return later to edit or repurchase them.
- This is an optional feature that must be enabled in your Preferences, and it works on all your products.
- Saved designs are visible as follows:
- Purchased designs remain available for 3 months
- Unpurchased designs (only saved, not ordered) are shown for 40 days
- Customers can delete saved designs at any time
- This feature is especially helpful for customers who:
- Want to repurchase the same design with minor adjustments
- Would like to order the same design with different product options, such as size or color
- Need extra time to finalize the design before purchasing
How to activate Design History feature
IMPORTANT Design History is not compatible with Edit Interface mode. To use this feature, switch to either Preview or Quick mode. You can change the view mode in your product's Toolset > Default product view mode. Don't forget to save your changes.
Saving a design
There are two ways a customer can save their design:
- By clicking the Save icon – this creates a new saved design, shown above other design templates.
- By clicking Add to cart – this also creates a separate saved design. Only since it is considered ordered, it will have a special icon in the upper left corner to distinguish it from unpurchased designs.
